HARGIS: Any info on WILLIAM HARGIS (abt 1771-aft 1850) or wife JANE HARGIS (abt 1790), married 25 Sep 1809, who lived abt 1832-1850 in Braden/District #6, Fayette Co. Previously, he lived in Maury Co., bef 1832. He had several children, possibly: JONATHAN, WASHINGTON, ABRAM S. (1814) married LYDIA DELILAH BOBO 27 Oct 1841, AUGUSTINE (abt 1820), SARAH ANN (1844) married ALLEN HOLT BOBO 3 Jun 1844, JANE P. (abt 1833) & JOHN W. (abt 1843). Any clarifiction appreciated.

CIVIL WAR GRAVE SITE.Looking for the gravesite of JOHN S. STALEY, A 126 Inf, who died of measles at La Grange in December, 1862. He was from Moultrie Co IL. His daughter SARAH LA GRANGE STALEY was born in February, 1863 nearly 3 months after his death. Any information on Civil War interments in this area would be appreciated. Thank you

The information I have is that George. B. RAWLINGS my ggggrandfather died MaY 9, 1857 while surveying goverment land near Fort Scott, and was buried at LaGrange, Tenn. Where is Fort Scott.? Does anyone know if he is buried in the LaGrange Cemetary.Is there a list of teachers for the Synodical College of La Grange. Was this the only college La Grange had.? Any help would be appreciated.George

richard warren pontatoc mississippi married melvina moon lived in moscow tennessee around 1870. trying to find other children in the family. my grandfather was george warren hicks, ferrell, barber, kannady, bings, smith , grahams,rutheledge were some of the families in the families.
