Searching for parents and siblings of Frances Adeline Slaughter, married
12-31-1839 in Fayette Co. to William M. Jones. Wm. M. Jones is listed in the
1840 census as neighbor of Samuel Slaughter. Connection?

WRIGHT, RICHARDSON, ROSE: Lannon or Landon Wright b: ? married Caroline
Richardson b: 1862 TN. Thier children: Mary b: 8-1880 in ? d: 1901, David b:
3-11-1884 MS, Etta b: 8-1889 TN, Sallie b: 4-1893 TN, Robert b: 10-1894 TN and
Richard b: 12-1898 TN. Thier daughter Mary married Nelson Rose 2- 20-1897 and
died of TB at 21 years old. I last found her in the 1900 census in Fayette Co
with Nelson and children. Have been unable to locate place of death or burial.
I've also been unable to aquire any information on Landon Wright. The 1900
Fayette Co census shows Caroline married but being head of household with thier
children. The 1910 Hardeman Co Census shows Caroline widowed. Any information on
Landon or his daughter Mary would be appreciated Help !! Thank you,

I know that my great great grandparents John W. HUNT and Virginia E. (MARTON
or MARTIN) were married 20 JAN 1842 in Fayette Co. I have no further information
on them in this county. I am interested in finding her parents there. John W.
and Virginia E. HUNT later lived in Hardeman County where my great grandfather
Thomas Douglas HUNT was born. Any help from county records or deeds or wills

William Jackson Thu, 24 Jul 1997 14:04:07 I am searching for the name of my GG grandfather ? HUTCHINS, who married Pemelia (a.k.a. "Amelia") A. SMITH (b 1815 AL). The family lived in Fayette Co. TN.. Mr. Hutchins was born in Wake Co NC and is probably a brother of Henry and William Hutchins also of Fayette Co. His father was Moses Hutchins of Wake Co. NC. ? Hutchins left behind his wife and at least 3 children: Mary E. Hutchins (b 1831 TN); Nancy A. Hutchins (b 1833 TN); and my G grandfather John Smith Hutchins (b. Fayette Co TN, 7/3/1837). There is suggestion that there also may have been an older brother James A. Hutchins. The elder Mr. Hutchins' death probably occurred in late 1836 or sometime in 1837 (due to the birth date of JSH and the date of Amelia Hutchins remarriage). AMELIA SMITH HUTCHINS remarried (2) Silas CHILDS (b 1800 VA) on 2/28/1838. In 1843, Silas Childs was a Fayette Co Commissioner, and in 1844 he was Overseer of Roads for Fayette Co, TN. The U.S. census of 1850 showed that JSH lived with Silas and Amelia CHILDS in Fayette Co, TN. By 1851, the family had moved to the area called Round Pond Township in Independence Co. AR, near the town of Jacksonport. Silas and Amelia Childs eventually had 7 other children: Permelia Childs (b1840 TN); George Childs (b 1842 TN); Martha Jane Childs (b 1844 TN); Thomas Childs (b 1846 TN); George M. D. Childs (b 1848 TN); William Dallas Childs (b 1850 TN) and Virginia Childs (b 1851 Ark). By the time of the 1860 U.S. census, Silas Childs had apparently died, since Amelia Childs was listed as head of the family. Will share info re HUTCHINS

George married Mary Fannie Robertson on 28 Nov 1854 in Somerville Tayette Co., TN. Mary was born in 1830 in AL. His sons, Joseph James Heflin b. 4 Oct 1856 and George H. Had several children: Asa(??) married Callie YATES(?) after 1870 went to Missouri and had 2 children and both died by 1880(my line) Another child Robert married and remained in Fayette County. Several werein the civil war listings from the county. There was a set of twins ( Richmond and Virginia) Two daughters married the same man! William B Douglass married Annie and after she died he came back to Fayette County from Missouri and married her sister Margaret C. Several other children said to have married YATES persons. He sheltered a Union soldier afer a battle and was given a letter so that the union wouldn't raid the farm. any more clues PLEASE e mail me... I have hit a big wall!
