Need information on Alexander Bowling, b 1781 d 1843 in Lawrence Co., AL and his
brother, William Bowling, b 1784 d 1870 in Hardeman Co., TN. William moved to
Madison Co., TN in 1822 and lived in Gibson, Haywood, and Hardeman Co. along
with Thomas, Lewis, Isham, David, Jospeh Bowling. Any information would be
helpful.

Looking for any info on AMBROSE MORRIS & his wife LUCINDA who are in the
1850 census of Fayette Co. Their daughter SARAH MORRIS married MYRICK ALLEN
JONES Jan 8 1850 in Fayette Co. & another daughter MARY JANE MORRIS married
HIRAM MOORE JONES a brother of Myrick Allen Jones. They were the sons of SHERRED
JONES. The Jones & the Morris moved to Ark. in 1852. They were in Poinsett
& Cross Co. Ark. AMBROSE & hiswife LUCINDA_________ were born in N.C.
about 1809 but where in NC? The JONES were from Mecklinburg Co. N.C. Who were
the parents of AMBROSE & LUCINDA?

HARRIS/BUTLER HENRY HARRIS, d. 1 Mar
1858, aged 73 yrs., Fayette Co., TN, obit pub. TN Baptist, 22 May 1858. Did
Henry have a son, JAMES HARRIS? Only other Harris death reported in this
publication was: ROBERT HARRIS, b. TN, 1812, d. Itawamba Co., MS, 15 Jan 1855,
aged 43 yrs., obit pub. TN Baptist, 17 Mar 1855. Can anyone tell me if Robert
was Henry's son or possibly nephew? Was Henry's father possibly named ROBERT
HARRIS? Is this the same HENRY HARRIS who had lands in Jackson Co., TN, during
the first decade of the century? Was Henry related to SIMPSON HARRIS,repeatedly
mentioned in the TN Gazette, as having mail held for him by the Nashville
postmaster? Or can Henry be related to EDWARD HARRIS, who was a partner of John
Gray Blount in many land transactions in various TN cos. during the first decade
of the century, and whose heirs were named in an 1814 Sumter Co. deed &
included a JAMES HARRIS? EDMUND H. HARRIS, WILLIAM C. HARRIS, & SAMUEL
HARRIS of Davidson Co. were a later bunch, poss. the some were the sons of
Simpson? I found a deed record in Sumter Co. that names HARRIS heirs an unnamed
father who d. in or bef. 1809 that names HEIRS OF ROBERT HARRIS, dec'd. Can
anyone out there help me sort this out? My ancestor was JAMES HARRIS, b. TN, d.
unk., m. ANN BUTLER, b.,d. unk. James & Ann's son, WILLIAM HENRY HARRIS, b.
1857, Lee Co., MS; d. 1938, Lincoln Co., OK; m. MOLLIE GRISSOM, b. 1865, Lee
Co., MS; d. 1942, Lincoln Co., OK, dau. of G.W. GRISSOM & BELLA (ISABELLA?)
LIVINGSTONE (LIVINGSTON), (both b. ALA.) William & Mollie had: HOLLIS,
MYRTLE, ROXIE MAY, LOTTIE, & HUBERT HARRIS. ROXIE MAY HARRIS, b. 1886, Lee

I am looking for descendants of Edmund Rivers SCRUGGS (1839-1914) who was
married to Fannie HIGGASON (1848-1910). E. R. Scruggs was mayor of Somerville in
1881 and was a recorder for the city for 30 years. Both he and his wife are
buried in Somerville.

W. and Elizabeht Hannah Head. William and Jane's children: Robertson, b. 1827;
Daniel, b. 1828; Elizabeth E., b. 1835; Mary, b. 1837; Sarah (Aery), b. 1839;
William, b. 1842; John, b. 1844; Rhoda J., b. 1849 all in Moscow, Fayette Co.,
TN.

George B. LANE died between 1854 and 1860 in Fayette Co. Where is he buried? His
wife , Jane LANIER, and children moved to Arkansas after his death. Descendants
later moved on to Texas. Would appreciate any help on George B. LANE.

I'm looking for the ancestors, the children & the wife's maiden name for
Francis BOUNDS bn. @1798 in Tn.. He's in the 1830 Fayette Co. census, but not in
1840, as he probably on his way to Panola Co.,Texas where he shows up prior to
1850. His wife's name was Mary bn. @ 1800 in Va.. His known children are: Thomas
bn.@1829, Jefferson bn. @1837/40 & Hardenia T. bn. @ 1839/40. There was also
possibly a Frank B. bn. @ 1828 & some older daughters. All were bn. in Tn..
I have a book that says his father was a Joseph who died in Fayette after 1830
and his brothers were Jesse, Joseph, Thomas, Obediah and Sterling, but no record
references are given. Also there is a Pascal Lafayette Bounds tied into this
family as he shows up in Panola in 1862 and dies by 1868. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
