I am searching for information on the Guest Family who lived in Fayette Co. in
early 1800's. Isaac Guest Sr., my3rd GGfather, his sons Isaac II, John Martin(or
Martin), and William, his daughter Elizabeth and wife Elizabeth(Frazier) lived
around the Moscow area. Isaac Sr. was a surveyer by trade. They moved to east
Texas in 1838. He also had several brothers(names unknown) and a sister named
Roda(Rhoda). For several years after they moved to Texas they returned to TN and
moved settlers back to TX. On what was to be his last trip Isaac II was killed
in a wagon accident in 1844 and is supposed to be buried near Moscow. His wife
was Ann Wheeler. Their children were Isaac III, Joseph, Mary, and Malissa. I
would appreciate any info you might have. You can contact me at E-mail

SHEDD/SHEID/SHEAD/SHED- I am looking for other researchers working on the
families of James SHEID (born 1779) and his brother George SHEAD (born 1789).
They came from the Pendleton District of SC between 1810 and 1820 to
Franklin/Coffee county area. The family name has been spelled many ways and I
have a book on James and George's ancestery. James had a plantation new
Hillsboro and his son, James M. Shed, married Margaret Sims in 1839 in Franklin
county. George eventually moved to Arkansas. The book has very little on George
and James. I am interested in more information about their families.
I have been told that parts of these families may have gone to Fayette county,
TN. I am hoping that a descendant my see it and respond.
