George R. Scott born in Tennessee about 1812 according to 1860 census and married in 1839 in Madison Co. to Hester Ann Halton. They had a son Calvin B born about 1840. Calvin's son, Charles Calois Scott was born in Jackson, Tennessee in 1866. Looking for father of George R. Scott. 1860 census lists George R. as landowner. 1870 census shows Calvin B. in Humphreys Co. with 4-year old son.

I am looking for the name and any information on the parents of Robert Cavett, born in Clarksdale, MS but moved to Rossville, Fayette Co., TN by 1910. He first married Susie Loftus/Lofton of TN, but after her death, he married Victoria Britman or Brittenum/Cecil(married name). Robert had lots of land in Fayette County, so land records would be great. He was born in 1865 according to the 1900 census. He is buried in Dewitt Cemetary. I am also looking for the parents of Betty Dewitt who married James Bailey in Fayette Co. She was born in either TN or Holly Springs, Marshall Co., MS, but lived most of her life in Fayette Co., TN. Her father is reported to be Jack Dewitt, also of that county, and her mother is reportedly an Indian. Thank you.
