Lawrence Sanders with his younger brother, Charles, and Katie the Donkey. Taken at the Sanders farm outside LaGrange, late 1930's.  Sons of Ollie Jesse and Gertrude (Martin) Sanders. Ollie died at LaGrange two months after Charles' birth, leaving Gertrude to raise nine children alone.  Gertrude Martin Sanders died in September, 1994, at the age of 99.
